Excellent, knowledgeable care for your pet. Dr went out of his way to save the day for my Husky. Ever since Anchor Bay has been my Veterinary. They genuinely care and costs are reasonable. Staff is thoughtful and helpful. Janae is an amazing groomer. My dog always leaves happier and looking extra handsome. So grateful I found the perfect Veterinary Center for my dog.
My dog is DEAD at 3 yrs old because they wouldn’t take him in for an emergency!!!!
I came to this office three years ago, and I was very happy with the way that they treated a cat that I took in, but today, I’m so very sorry I ever walked into this place. My dog was throwing up a thick, mucus and there was blood in his diarrhea starting Thursday 9-7-23. I called them on the 8th and ask them for an emergency appointment and told him exactly what was going on and they told me there was nothing they could do and couldn’t get him in until the next day. My dog progressively got worse through the day so I called again and told them I thought my dog was dying and was told I’m sorry we can’t see him until tomorrow. I called the next morning and told them my dog was close to death, and please see him a little bit sooner, and they still refused. I tried to run my dog in a little bit earlier than my appointment, because he was obviously showing signs that his life was ending and on the way there my dog died. There is no way that you can tell me that they didn’t have an appointment they could’ve moved to my timeslot and took my dog in rather than him die. I believe my dog had a perforated bowel because he ate something, but they didn’t care. I would stay far from this vets office. I am so angry! My dog was only three years old and he’s dead.
I love this vet office just left after bringing both of my Rat Terriers in, and I never stop being amazed by the quality of service. Dr. Zaffer is impressive, and his staff is always TOP NOTCH, quick to get in, and easy to work with; he has never had a negative experience. I met Dr. Zaffer in 2018 when he was the only one of 5 vets to be able to see my dog Kota who passed at 18 and was sick and had cancer. He did all he could to prolong and provide her with a quality life. They will forever have my business
This office is amazing. I had to bring my dog in for an emergency visit for an injury. I have a large dog who absolutely hates going to the vet, I've been to other offices where they treat him like a vicious monste, but not here. They still talk to him and pet him and work to gain his trust. The staff was so helpful, kind and caring, the veterinarian came in And gave me all the options up front. So if I couldn't afford something I knew well before. If I didn't want to do some thing he gave me that option as well. They bring you a break down of everything before they do it so it's no surprise. My dog needed x-rays and once he was done the veterinarian brought me to the back and showed me every x-ray, went into detail with pictures diagrams of anything my dog could be experiencing and did side by sides of buddy's left vs right to show me the differences. While I was talking with the him he had one of the vet techs keep an eye on my dog (who was sedated) and she was in there petting and talking to him the whole time. They are all great people 💜
Very professional with compassion for my kitty Bella. She has recovered and is doing fine.
Sadly, we had to put down our 12 year old cat, and Anchor Bay was great. They were very kind, showed compassion, explained the process, and gave us time to mourn. Price was much cheaper than expected - This place is highly recommended for your fur babies. I am glad I chose to travel to Anchor Bay.
MY MOMS DOG IS DEAD BECAUSE OF THEM. This is hands down THE WORST vet I've ever been too. They almost killed my cat and officially my moms dog is dead because of them. If you want a happy healthy alive pet I would NOT recommend them your fur baby won't even make it before its too late and they're dead.
Took my cat there when he started peeing blood a couple years back. Just recently found out from my new vet that I should have been informed to come back every year to get him check. And not just change his food which is what I was told to do. He passed this year with no warning. All because I was never told that cats with urinary issues need to be seen every year especially males. Save yourself the trip and heartache and see someone else.
